His Eminence Metropolitan Serapion, along with Their Graces, Bishop Abraham and Bishop Kyrillos, as well as the clergy and congregation of the Diocese of Los Angeles, the beloved of Christ, bid farewell, with hope in the Resurrection, to the beloved father and faithful servant, the Reverend Father John Shafik Botros, the shepherd of the church of Holy Annunciation Coptic Orthodox Church in the city of Inglewood, California.
His pure soul returned to its heavenly home on Wednesday November 8, 2023, at the age of 62 years old to join the heavenly and choir of saints. We ask God to repose his pure soul in the Paradise of Joy, remembering his faithful and sacrificial ministry, especially his 17 years of priesthood.
“Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord” (Mt 25:21).
We pray that God pours down His heavenly comfort upon the hearts of Father John’s family members and all his beloved.
