Departure of the Very Reverend Hegumen Father Raphael Hanna
“So it was, as soon as the days of his service were completed, that he departed to his own house” (Lk 1:23).
His Eminence Metropolitan Serapion, along with Their Graces, His Grace Bishop Abraham, and His Grace Bishop Kyrillos, as well as the clergy and congregation of the Diocese of Los Angeles, the beloved of Christ, bid farewell, with hope in the Resurrection, to the beloved father and faithful servant, the Very Reverend Hegumen Father Raphael Hanna, shepherd of the church of Saint Mark Coptic Orthodox Church in the city of Los Angeles, California.
His pure soul returned to its heavenly home on February 24, 2024, to join the heavenly and choir of saints. We ask God to repose his pure soul in the Paradise of Joy, remembering his faithful and sacrificial ministry, especially his 26 years of priesthood.
We are confident that our good and merciful Lord will grant him the wages of the good and faithful servant.
“Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord” (Mt 25:21).
God willing the Third Day Prayer will be on Monday February 26, 2024, at 1:00 pm at St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church in Los Angeles, California.

We pray that God pours down HIs heavenly comfort upon the hearts of Father Raphael’s family members and all his beloved.
