Ordination of Fr. Youssef Zaki

On Sunday October 14, 2007 H.G. Bishop Serapion ordained the blessed servant Youssef Zaki (now Fr. Youssef Zaki) as a priest for the Diocese of Los Angeles to serve St. John the Baptist Church, Oxnard, CA. Participating in the Ordination was His Grace Bishop Agathon of Brazil. The New priest will travel to the Monastery of Saint Pishoy in Wadi El Natroun Region, Egypt to spend his forty days and will return to begin his ministry. May God bless his service for the Glory of His Name.

Fr. Youssef was born in Egypt on October 8, 1958. He served at St. George Church, Hmamat El Kobe, Cairo. Since his coming to USA in 1984, he has served at St. Mark Church, Los Angeles, St. George, Bellflower, and currently at St. Marina Church, Irvine. He married Sahar on July 30, 1989 and they have two sons: Theodore (15 years) and Timothy (13 years).
