The Diocese community joyfully congratulates the Very Reverend Fr. Dr. John Paul Abdelsayed of the St. Paul Brotherhood for completing his Ph.D. program at Notre Dame University and successfully defending his dissertation on Christ the High Priest in the works of St. Cyril of Alexandria. Attending the defense were our beloved father, His Grace Bishop Serapion, Fr. Ishak Boulos, and Fr. Arsany Paul from the St. Paul Brotherhood.
After several years serving out of the Diocese, Fr. John Paul will now dedicate his time to service within the Diocese, especially with respect to academic services, like the Theological Library, the St. Paul Brotherhood Press, and more.
We congratulate Abouna with full hearts and pray that the Lord may continue to bless his service.
