With a firm hope in the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Diocese of Los Angeles extends her condolences to our beloved father, His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, for the departure of his mother, Mrs. Samia Istafanous who departed into eternal rest on Friday, March 28, 2014. Her pious life is clearly evident in the fact that she brought forth and raised Pope Tawadros II, whose very name means “gift from God,” for the Church. We share in His Holiness’ blessed prayers that the Lord may repose her soul in the Paradise of Joy and grant us all to imitate her pure example.
Condolences to His Holiness Pope Tawadros II
