On the 22nd of the blessed month of Tobe, Saturday February 4, 2023, His Eminence Metropolitan Serapion accompanied by His Grace Bishop Suriel and His Grace Bishop Abraham laid hands on and ordained the blessed servant Jack Ghaly, as Deacon Elijah, for the Christ loving Diocese of Los Angeles to serve at St. Mary and St. Athanasius Coptic Orthodox Church.
The ordination took place at St. Mary and St. Athanasius Coptic Orthodox Church, in Northridge, California.
Apart from our father His Eminence and their Graces all or part of this blessed event was Hegumen Fr. Antony Attallah, and Presbyters Fr. David Elias, Fr. Daniel Meleka, Fr. Jeremiah Said, and Fr. Joseph Abraham.
Also, His Eminence and their graces ordained 12 of the faithful to the rank of Subdeacon.
