Father Jonah Labib was born in Alexandria, Egypt. He was a Clinical Psychologist before he was called to the priesthood. His Eminence Metropolitan Serapion ordained him as Full Deacon on January 30, 2016. On March 13, 2016, His Metropolitan Serapion accompanied by His Grace Bishop Karas ordained him as Presbyter to serve at St. George Coptic Orthodox Church in Bellflower, California.
