Father Estephanos Hanna was born as Wahib Aziz Hanna in Mansoura, Egypt.

He completed his Bachelor Degree in Agriculture from University of Cairo in Giza, Egypt. He received his Diploma in Animal Breeding in July of 1961. Prior to his consecration and ordination, he worked from 1959 until 1990.

Before to his ordination as a full deacon, he served in El Behera, Egypt from 1961 until 1989. He was ordained as a full deacon by their Graces, Bishop Benyamin, Bishop Reweiss, and Bishop Botros on June 10, 1990.

On that same day, His Holiness Pope Shenouda of blessed memory ordained him as presbyter to serve at Saint Mark, Saint George, and El Amir Tadros churches. Father Estephanos continued his service in Shatby, Alexandria from June 10, 1990 until 1998.

Father Estephanos was assigned by His Holiness Pope Shenouda of blessed memory to serve at Saint Mary Church in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on August 12, 1998. During this time, he rotated his service and prayed on Saturdays at eight other churches in the following areas: Albany, New York, Delaware, Virginia, Richmond, Stanford, Harrisburg, and Gettysburg.

Father Estephanos started serving at Saint Mark Coptic Orthodox Church in Honolulu, Hawai’i in 2018. On June 13, 2021, His Eminence Metropolitan Serapion elevated Father Estephanos to the priestly rank of Hegumen at St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church in Honolulu, Hawai’i.

On Saturday, October 15, 2022, having completed his good strife, he departed into eternal rest. May his memory be eternal!
