He earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Philosophy in 1972 from California State University in Los Angeles. He worked as an Editor for body building magazine called “Muscle Digest” and owned a weightlifting Health Club. He served as a Sunday School Teacher, youth leader and a Deacon at St. Mark Church in Los Angeles.
He was ordained Presbyter by His Holiness Pope Shenouda III on November 13, 1988. He served at St. George church in Bellflower, CA from 1988-2003. He currently serves at St. Cyril Church, and concentrates his service on youth and English speaking couples who join the Coptic Orthodox Church.
On Sunday, July 10, 2016, he was elevated to the priestly dignity of Hegumen by His Eminence Metropolitan Serapion and His Grace Bishop Kyrillos.
