Father Anthony Zaki was born in San Diego, California. He worked as a pharmacist before being called to the priesthood. His Eminence Metropolitan Serapion, accompanied by His Grace Bishop Abraham and His Grace Bishop Kyrillos, ordained him to the rank of Full Deacon on June 20, 2026, and then to the holy priesthood on June 21, 2026, to serve at St. Basil American Coptic Orthodox Church in San Diego, California.
