Saint Mary Coptic Orthodox Church in Victorville was founded in 1988 to serve the Coptic community that had settled in this remote area that was north of San Bernardino.

For two years, the congregation prayed in a private residence until property was purchased in 1990 and a building was renovated in 1995.

Several priests have served this church, including Hegumen Father Gawargious Kolta, Hegumen Father Bishoy Ghobreial, and the late Father Samuel Samaan until the ordination of Father John Mikhail in 1999. In 2004, Father Michael Ibrahim started his service as the parish priest while Father John moved to Saint Justina in Rancho Cucamonga.
