On Thursday, November 20, 2025, His Holiness Pope Tawadros II ordained Mother Katherine and Mother Verena as nuns for the Convent of St. Katherine and St. Verena in Hemet, California, which is currently under establishment in the Diocese of Los Angeles.
The ordination took place at the Convent of Holy Virgin Mary (Haret Zuweila) in Nubaria. Participated in the ordination prayers were His Eminence Metropolitan Serapion, Metropolitan of Los Angeles, His Eminence Metropolitan Thomas, Metropolitan of El-Qussia and Meer, His Grace Bishop Youannes, Bishop of Assiut and Secretary of the Holy Synod, His Grace Bishop Abraham, the General Bishop in the Diocese of Los Angeles, and His Grace Bishop Kyrillos, the General Bishop in the Diocese of Los Angeles.
Also, those who attended the prayers were Tamav Basilia, Abbess of the Convent of Holy Virgin Mary in Haret Zuweila; Tamav Athanasia, Abbess of the Convent of St. George in Haret Zuweila; and a number of nuns from various Convents.
On the same day, His Holiness also ordained three nuns for the Convent of Holy Virgin Mary in Haret Zuweila and one nun for the newly established Coptic Convent of St. Mary on the Ismailia Road.

في يوم الخميس المبارك ٢٠ نوفمبر ٢٠٢٥ قام قداسة البابا تواضروس الثاني بسيامة الراهبة كاترين والراهبة فيرينا راهبتين علي دير القديسة كاترينا و القديسة فيرينا تحت التأسيس في ايبارشية لوس انجلوس وتمت السيامة في دير القديسة العذراء مريم حارة زويلة بالنوبارية وقد اشترك في صلوات السيامة نيافة الحبر الجليل الانبا سرابيون مطران لوس انجلوس ونيافة الحبر الجليل الانبا توماس مطران القوصية ومير ونيافة الحبر الجليل الانبا يؤانس أسقف أسيوط وسكرتير المجمع المقدس و نيافة الانبا أبراهام الأسقف العام في ايبارشية لوس أنجلوس ونيافة الانبا كيرلس الأسقف العام في ايبارشية لوس انجلوس.
وحضرن الصلاة تماف باسيليا رئيسة دير العذراء حارة زويلة وتماف اثناسيا رئيسة دير مارجرجس بحارة زويلة و عدد من راهبات الأديرة.
وفي نفس اليوم قام قداسة البابا بسيامة ثلاث راهبات لدير العذراء حارة زويلة و راهبة لدير القديسة مريم القبطية تحت التأسيس في طريق الإسماعيلية.
