On the 2nd Sunday of the Great Lent Fast, Baramhat 15, 1740, March 24, 2024, After the prayer of Reconciliation His Eminence Metropolitan Serapion accompanied by His Grace Bishop Abraham and His Grace Kyrillos laid hands on and ordained the blessed Deacon Bishoy Kyrillos, as a priest in the Christ Loving Diocese of Los Angeles to serve at St. George And St. Bishoy Coptic Orthodox Church in Visalia, California.
He was given the name Fr. Bishoy Kyrillos.
In addition, His Eminence Metropolitan Serapion accompanied by His Grace Bishop Abraham and His Grace Bishop Kyrillos laid hands on and elevated Fr. Youhanna Farid to the priestly dignity of Hegumen.
The ordination took place at St. Bishoy Coptic Orthodox Church in Visalia, California.
Following the ordination, the new priest will proceede to St. Paul The Apostle Coptic Orthodox Monastery in Murrieta, California to spend the 40 days. After spending the 40 days, Fr. Bishoy Kyrillos will return to start his ministry at St. George And St. Bishoy Coptic Orthodox Church in Visalia, California.
Participated in the Divine Liturgy were: Hegumens: Fr. Joseph St. Antony, Fr. Daniel Azer, Fr. Kyrillos Wassily, and Archdeacon: Gabriel Hanna.
