Departure of the Very Reverend Hegumen Father Abrahim Aziz Gindi

“So it was, as soon as the days of his service were completed, that he departed to his own house” (Lk 1:23).

His Eminence Metropolitan Serapion, along with Their Graces, Bishop Suriel, Bishop Abraham, and Bishop Kyrillos, as well as the clergy and congregation of the Diocese of Los Angeles, the beloved of Christ, bid farewell, with hope in the Resurrection, to the beloved father and faithful servant, the Very Reverend Hegumen Father Abrahim Aziz Gindi, the shepherd of the church of Saint George Coptic Orthodox Church in the city of Bellflower, California.

His pure soul returned to its heavenly home on Tuesday January 17, 2023, at the age of 93 years old to join the heavenly and choir of saints. We ask God to repose his pure soul in the Paradise of Joy, remembering his faithful and sacrificial ministry, especially his 61 years of priesthood.

“Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord” (Mt 25:21).

We pray that God pours down HIs heavenly comfort upon the hearts of Father Abrahim’s family members and all his beloved.
