On the 4th Sunday of the blessed Coptic month of Tubah, 1742 AM, year of the Martyrs, February 1st, 2026 AD, After the prayer of Reconciliation, His Eminence Metropolitan Serapion accompanied by His Grace Bishop Abraham and His Grace Bishop Kyrillos laid hands on and ordained the blessed Deacon Moses Yacoub as a priest in the Christ Loving Diocese of Los Angeles to serve at St. John Chrysostom American Coptic Orthodox Church in San Juan Capistrano, California. He was given the name Fr. Moses Yacoub. The ordination took place at St. John Chrysostom American Coptic Orthodox Church in San Juan Capistrano, California.
Following the ordination, the new priest will proceede to St. Paul The Apostle Coptic Orthodox Monastery in Murrieta, California, to spend the 40 days. After spending the 40 days, Fr. Moses Yacoub will return to start his ministry at St. John Chrysostom American Coptic Orthodox Church in San Juan Capistrano, California.
