The Good Samaritan program provides individuals with funds to start or improve existing businesses. Plans for business projects are studied with the borrower by Santa Verena Charity staff in order to ensure maximum success. The money borrowed is used to purchase equipment such as refrigerators for grocery stores and salon supplies for hairdressers. Funds are offered as interest-free loans and are repaid once the borrower is able to maintain a steady income. The returned funds are then circulated in the system to others who are in need.
