Saint Mercurius and Saint Abraam Coptic Orthodox Church was established in 1989 to serve the southwestern part of Los Angeles County. In the same year, a church building was purchased and remodeled.

Hegumen Father Louka Sidarous has served in the church since 1989 while Father Kyrillos Wassily arrived in 2001.

Recently, the congregation adapted a large hall for the expansion of services.
