Saint Mary of Egypt Coptic Orthodox Church was established in 2000 as Copts moved into northern Los Angeles County. Services are currently held in a rented facility, but the congregation is in the process of acquiring a permanent building.

The church has been served by Father Macarius Shehata until the arrival of Father Zocimus Kneiber.
