Santa Verena Sisterhood
Founding & Service
Santa Verena Sisterhood was established in the Diocese in 2003 by two consecrated sisters from Egypt, with the blessing of Pope Shenouda III and under the guidance of Bishop Serapion.
It was founded for a communal life of prayer and service, with vows of virginity, poverty, obedience, and service. Its work included retreats for girls and guidance for women considering consecrated life.
