On the 2nd Sunday of the blessed month of Paone, Paone 14, 1742 AM, year of the Martyrs, June 21, 2026 AD, After the prayer of Reconciliation, His Eminence Metropolitan Serapion laid hands on and ordained the blessed Deacon Fr. Anthony Zaki as a priest in the Christ Loving Diocese of Los Angeles to serve at St. Basil American Coptic Orthodox Church in San Diego, Southern California. He was given the name Fr. Anthony Zaki. His Grace Bishop Abraham and His Grace Bishop Kyrillos also participated in the ordination.
Following the ordination, the new priest wil proceede to St. Paul The Apostle Coptic Orthodox Monastery in Murrieta, California, to spend the 40 days. After spending the 40 days, His Reverence will return to start his ministry at St. Basil American Coptic Orthodox Church in San Diego, Southern California.
