Father George Awad was born in Cairo, Egypt. He was a Pharmacist before he was called to the priesthood. His Eminence Metropolitan Serapion accompanied by His Grace Bishop Abraham and His Grace Bishop Kyrillos ordained him as Full Deacon on June 16, 2018, and then ordained him as Presbyter on June 17, 2018, to serve at St. Pope Kerollos VI Coptic Orthodox Church in Westminster, California.
In 2019, Father George began to serve at Holy Cross Coptic Orthodox Church in Escondido, California.
