It’s time again for the annual Diocese of Los Angeles and Hawaii Graduates and Young Professionals Convention! Graduate students and young professionals from California and the rest of the United States come together to grow in knowledge, spirituality, and fellowship. This year we have some very important speakers coming to discuss with us how to defend our faith without offending our faith. With persecution of the church growing all over the world and where our own faith is tested daily, this topic cannot come at a more pertinent time. Join us as we learn what it means to carry our cross, to boldly stand up for our faith, and to be brave and strong without forgetting about love. We look forward to seeing you!

New Diocese Summer Conventions Registration Website

Over the past few days, the Diocese launched a new registration website for its annual Diocese Summer Conventions for junior high, high school, and college youth. The new website will allow youth, parents, and chaperones to register and pay quickly.

The page also includes information on guest speakers and different activities. The Diocese encourages everyone to attend this year’s conventions.

The Diocese welcomes you to join the 7th Annual Los Angeles Diocese Graduates & Young Professionals’ Convention! From October 8th-11th, the event will be held at a beautiful resort tucked away in the mountains of Fallbrook. Gracing us with their presence will be His Grace Bishop Serapion and Bishop Angaelos from Stevenage in the United Kingdom.

The Diocese is pleased to offer complete information and online registration for the 2009 conventions for college, high school, and junior high youth.

The summer conventions are a great way for Coptic Orthodox youth in the Diocese to benefit spiritually from dynamic speakers while building lasting friendships with their peers and friend from all parts of the Diocese. God willing, this year will be the most successful year yet. For the first time, the Diocese is offering online registration for all conventions, which should make signing up a snap.
