2011 Youth Spiritual Competition Policies
Spiritual Competition Online Registration is now open. Please register teams at http://www.ysc-keraza.org by by August 1, 2011. Absolutely no late registration will be accepted.
Section 1 – Registration Changes (Additions)
- If you wish to ADD people additional people to your team. Please inform us via e-mail of the additional names and we will send you an invoice via Paypal for the amount difference.
- If the invoice has not been paid before the event date, those extra additional members will not be allowed to participate.
Section 2 – Registration Changes (Subtractions/Refunds)
- All refund requests will be handled AFTER the competition date. There will be no refunds beforehand.
Section 3 – Registration Changes (Exchange people)
- If someone is being replaced on your team and is unable to participate, and if you have already paid for the correct number of people, you may swap in other person.
- If you have swapped someone, please e-mail us the correct names, so we may correct the registration file.
Section 4 – Examination & Scoring
- Each Team will take an exam consisting a mix of approximately 40 multiple choice questions/fill in the blanks/and true false questions along with 10 short answer/essay questions.
- Hymns and Agpeya will be weighed at 75 and 25 percent respectively
- Agpeya Memorization will be an oral examination, NOT a written examination.
- The entire team will be asked who has memorized their agpeya portions, those who have responded “yes” will be asked to recite it various parts. Those who responded with a “no” will be deducted a point number.
- We will not be using the regular ranking format of 1st, 2nd, 3rd. for this year, but a new rank system instead.
- Scores will NOT be released to anyone under ANY circumstance. Do not ask the committee for scores.
